EYES || An afternoon of admin wearing my new @baxterblue_ glasses which are said to help protect my eyes from the blue light emitted from digital screens to prevent any eye strain and fatigue! As humans, we are spending more time in front of screens than ever before. From our phones, to computers, iPads and even the TV. I thought I’d give these bad boys 👓 a trial and see how I feel at the end of the day. Has anyone else tried these or a similar brand? Thoughts? X
CHALLENGE || If someone had told me a few months ago that I’d be teaching reformer pilates I probably would have laughed at them. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do however it’s scared the sh!t out of me - it’s a completely different ball game and a whole new skill! It just goes to show that if you set your mind to something you can do just about anything. I can’t expect to be the best pilates teacher straight away, there will be time when I mess up no doubt but that’s all part of the learning process. Persistence, practice and patience! So I urge you to challenge yourself, big or small - throw yourself in the deep end and I can guarantee you’ll feel amazing for it! A huge thanks to the gorgeous @ems_ando from @cardeapilates for guiding me throughout this whole process. I couldn’t have done it without you😘😘 Happy Friday all 🥂

Lunch time dreaming @thecleanfoodstore I had this Cuban chicken bowl on the weekend and it was finger licking good! A balanced meal packed with nutritious ingredients which was more satisfying than o expected! Chicken, sticky sweet potato, a bed of quinoa, avocado, black beans, spinach, tomato and more!! Hit me with your favorite on the go lunch spots! 🥙 🍴

EASY LIKE SUNDAY MORNING || There really is no better way than to start the day than with brunch! My local cafe which just so happens to be called @thelocalonwaratah has got a new breakfast menu and it was delicious!!! I opted for the courgette, rocket, sundried tomato and pesto poached eggs.. packed full of flavour, fresh and very satisfying! BOOM! Who wishes they had this in-front of them this morning?
WORKOUT OF THE DAY || With some spare time in between clients this morning and a full day of study ahead.. I decided to give myself a dose of my own medicine. The workout • 3 minutes skipping to warm up • Resistance band work • TRX Pistol Squats • TRXReverse Lunge knee crunch • TRX Curtesy squat • Repeat TRX workout on other leg • 15 TRX narrow to wide jump squats X2 rounds • The finisher - 8x 50mtr sprints! Save this workout for when you’re lacking time and after a juicy workout! #trxtraining #lifestylelucyworkout
GRATEFUL || Do yourself a favour right now, stop scrolling and think about 3 things you’re grateful for today. Small or big! You may have had a shit day, but instead of dwelling on the negatives - think of the positives! One of the things I’m grateful for today which I think a lot of us take for granted is having a healthy body that can move freely - daily! A body that got me to the top of Frenchman’s Peak (pictured) and having an opportunity to experience this most amazing view! So put aside the negatives and ask yourself what you’re grateful for daily? #countyourluckystars

ESPERANCE || A weekend away camping with my 💙 finished with a visit to a friends beautiful home. She just so happened to have this amazing setup in her back shed, so we took it for a little test run! The workout: 15, 12, 9, 6, 3 Sumo Dead’s 45 second Ass Bike 10 Burpees over Bar (lateral) 30 seconds Ass Bike Rest 2 mins (5 rounds in total decreasing the amounts of Sumo Dead’s by 3 each time and increasing the weight) The best set up & a great little sweat up before the long drive back to Perth. A memorable weekend exploring Esperance and it’s beautiful surroundings enjoying the simple things in life. Highly recommend 💙 Ps - How cute and strong is little Ned bear - 3rd photo!!! X

Stripes & Pilates || The perfect end to a crazy Thursday 🖤
HEALTH || Hear me out guys... It’s quite alarming how many new programs, e-books, new supplements or quick fix diets as well as crazy new fads (celery juice) I’ve seen this January. This is just a reminder that you and your body are VERY different to the next persons - there is no one size fits all. If you haven’t got the foundations under control - sleep, stress, hydration, nourishing whole food based diet along with an active lifestyle then I can guarantee you a quick fix pill or low calorie/restrictive diet for a month isn’t going to help. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good kick start January challenge to press the re-fresh button but just make sure you take everything you are reading/buying with a pinch of salt - take a look at the foundations before you spend a ridiculous amount of $$$. Ask yourself how much water you’re drinking daily? Are you eating healthy wholesome food at-least 80% of the time? Are you moving your body daily? Are you getting in the recommended 10,000 steps a day? Do you sleep at-least 7 hours a night? How are your stress levels? Do you have a healthy lifestyle year round? Get all of these under control before you buy into a plan that’s a one size fits all plan, or give in to smart marketing and spend hundreds on supplements which you may not even need - or god forbid spend $8+ on a disgusting tasting celery juice! Foundations first - always!
CORE 🔥 Grab a pilates ball and give these 3 exercises a go to improve your core strength! Make sure you perform them nice and slow and with control as shown by my beautiful client @emilymayreiffer ! 30 seconds on each exercise. Save this workout and tag a friend who you think may enjoy it too! Ps - you can actually do this without the call and it’s just as good 👊🏼 #lifestylelucyworkout
